Lorin Oden, MA, FAAA, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of Denver. Prior to joining Carolina Head and Neck Specialists in 1989, she worked as the staff audiologist for a major hearing aid manufacturer. Currently she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and received her Board Certification in Audiology in October 2002.
Ms. Oden's primary focus is working with people to improve their hearing and understanding ability. Because of her belief in the importance of good hearing and its role in one's quality of life, Ms. Oden stays abreast of the latest hearing aid technology. She is committed to working with her patients so that hearing satisfaction is achieved. Ms. Oden also enjoys working with children with auditory processing difficulties or sensitive hearing. She provides Auditory Integration Training, a two week program to assist these children with special needs.
Ms. Oden lives on High Rock Lake with her husband and two boys. They enjoy outdoor activities, especially fishing, camping, swimming and boating.
